A 41-year-old Limpopo man is behind bars last night following the tragic discovery of his 37-year-old wife’s body in the vicinity of Polokwane.

The deceased was found with extensive burn wounds, with a wire tied around her waist. Her body was discovered alongside the remains of a burnt vehicle, raising serious questions about the circumstances surrounding her death.

 

The suspect, identified as Samuel Molefe, has been formally charged with murder and made his first court appearance on Tuesday. The case has been postponed and is expected to return before the court on 12 May 2026.

Investigating officers are reportedly looking into domestic violence as a possible motive behind the brutal killing. The case remains under active investigation.
