A fake astronaut in Eswatini was arrested after giving the King fake rocks from the Moon as part of tetfulo ahead of the Monarch’s birthday celebrations and 40th jubilee.

 

Authorities moved swiftly after experts determined the rocks were not of lunar origin, exposing the elaborate ruse that had apparently fooled several people close to the royal household.

The suspect is expected to appear before the High Court tomorrow to apply for bail, but his grounds for release have raised more than a few eyebrows.

The man is insisting he must be freed urgentl, not on compassionate grounds, not for family reasons, but because he needs to return to the Moon. He claims he left his wallet up there, complete with bank cards and other important personal documents.

He has reportedly informed those around him that his spaceship departs this Sunday at 15:00 sharp, and that missing it would create serious complications for his interplanetary affairs.

 

Inside the holding facility, the self-proclaimed astronaut has been notably tight-lipped. Insiders say he has offered a very specific explanation for his silence — that Elon Musk personally advised him not to disclose everything he witnessed during his time in space.

Whether the courts will grant bail to a man whose alibi is literally out of this world remains to be seen.
